Radiometric method of noise level determining in the millimeter range communication channel

Summary: The purpose of this work is to study the possibility of using a radiometric method to determine the level of noise in the millimeter range communication channel.
To achieve this goal, the following tasks are solved: to conduct an analytical review of information sources on the topic of the dissertation; to investigate the possibility of using the radiometric method to determine the level of noise in the mm-band communication channel; to develop a radiometric method for investigating the level of noise in the millimeter range communication channel; carry out an experimental verification of the developed method and, based on experimental data, decide on the feasibility of its application.
The object of research is the radio channel of the mm-band of wavelengths.
The subject of the study is the level of interference in the radio channel of the mm-band.
Methods of research are methods of mathematical analysis – for choosing a radio channel model, and mathematical statistics – for processing measurement results; experimental research methods using radiometric equipment; Computer simulation methods using Matlab 2018 – to determine the characteristics of the signals and the level of noise.
The scientific novelty of the obtained results consists in the use of radiometric measurement methods for studying the spectral characteristics of the signals in the mm-band communication channel.
The practical value of the results. A radiometric method for determining the level of noise in the mm-band channel is proposed, which is simpler than the known and can be used in the design and operation of communication networks.
